Cyanogen OS gets deeper Cortana integration with latest update

Earlier this month, Microsoft officially released Cortana for Android and iOS. The company partnered with Cyanogen to bring deeper integration to Cyanogen OS. With the deeper integration, Cortana will be able to toggle network modes, power down your phone, turn on Quiet Mode, and some other features on your Android device running Cyanogen OS. In addition to this, users will also be able to use the “Hey Cortana” feature anywhere in the operating system, which is a really nice feature.

Today, Cyanogen start rolling out a new update for Cyanogen OS which introduces Cortana for the OS. The update seems to be available for devices like the OnePlus One, and the changelog states:

“A Cyanogen OS update, 12/1-YOG7DAS2K1 Incremetnal, is available for your phone. You will be notified when it is ready for installation. This maintenance release provides bug fixes and critical security updates for your device as well as adds depply integrated features for Cortana including voice activation and ability to toggle different settings”
