Cult classic Pillars of Eternity is coming to Xbox One in August

Earlier this year, the team at Paradox released their first game on Xbox One. They’re the publisher behind Cities: Skylines and other titles. Xbox One owners couldn’t get enough of their games and today the company has decided to pair up with Obsidian Entertainment to bring the award-winning Pillars of Eternity to Xbox One. Let me take a break here and scream at the top of my lungs and jump up and down. Pillars of Eternity is one of the best games ever made. I can’t tell you how amazing this title is. The fact that it’s coming to Xbox One is simply mind-blowing.

For those of you encountering Pillars of Eternity for the first time, you’re in for a vast role-playing experience that brings the best elements of old-school titles up to speed with modern gaming mechanics. This game is the result of one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns of all time, backed by over 75,000 people who were hungry for the kind of experience they enjoyed with PC classics like Baldur’s Gate and Planescape: Torment. It’s no surprise that many consider Pillars of Eternity Obsidian’s best game to date.

According to Paradox, Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will include a broad selection of character options, award-winning story and writing, and a rich, original world realized in gorgeous artwork and animation. You’ll also get the most complete version of the game to date, including the two expansions. All of this, plus new enhanced console controls and UI, making the detailed party management and tactical combat a cinch on your controller.

Luckily the wait isn’t too long, Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will be available for the Xbox One on August 29, 2017. Yes, this year! If you’re a fan of games like Torment: Tides of Numenera or experiences like Divinity: Original Sin or even Diablo III, be sure to give this game a go. You won’t be disappointed.
