CrossTalk multi-protocol IM client coming to Windows Phone 7

crosstalk IM clientWe posted recently on the puzzling absence of a Microsoft IM client for Windows Phone 7.  Fortunately it seems a third party is coming to the rescue with a pretty good alternative.

CrossTalk, native to Android (pictured right), bills itself as the ultimate IM client for Android and Blackberry. The software supports multiple protocols like GTalk, AIM, MSN, Facebook and unusually even Blackberry Messenger.

CrossTalk should be available towards the end of August 2010 on the Android and Blackberry Market places, and according to a recent tweet by the company should arrive on iPhone and Windows Phone 7 in the September/October time frame.
