Even if fireworks are illegal where you live, you can still set off your own fireworks show with Fireworks Builder, a free app!
When comparing Fireworks Builder to other fireworks apps and games in the Marketplace, Fireworks Builder rises to the top. It was released today, just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, so you probably haven’t seen the app in the Marketplace before.
What makes this app the best is the great selection of fireworks, the good visuals, and the ability to choreograph your own fireworks shows. Most of the fireworks in the app look crisp, and there’s plenty of different colors, shapes, and styles to play around with. You can even listen to some included 4th of July themed music while watching the fireworks. And when you’re ready to do something more than randomly tapping the screen to create fireworks, you can watch some pre-recorded shows, or even create your own show.
Creating a fancy show is really simple, since you have a timeline editor to work with, and you can simply drag and drop different fireworks on the screen with ease. The timeline lets you edit and time fireworks down to the centiseconds, so you can be extremely precise. You can also select one of the included songs to use in your custom show. If you don’t like the included songs, you could always play your own music through Zune while the shows are going on, but it would be neat if you could select your own song directly from the app.
So in the end, this is the best fireworks app you’ll find on Windows Phone as of now. It could get even better visually if it had some smoke effects and illumination just like real life fireworks do, but the sound effects are decently accurate and the editing mode is sweet.
