GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 developer Rockstar Games is teaming up with Crackdown developer Ruffian Games on an unannounced project.

Announced through the Scottish Games Twitter account, the developer is currently hiring for numerous positions regarding the Rockstar partnership.

Ruffians’ hiring article on the ScottishGames website does allude to the title being something from the company’s back catalog.

“This being Rockstar, there’s not a huge amount of information available on exactly which titles, or indeed platforms, but given Rockstar’s portfolio, it should be reasonably simple to make an educated guess or two,” the website states.

With Red Dead Redemption 2 PC coming out soon, eyes are focused on whatever Rockstar is working on next. While the company doesn’t usually bring in external studios for much outside of porting jobs, a development partnership is interesting.

Ruffian is currently hiring for a multitude of positions for their Rockstar gig. Asking for employees with “generalized experience in multiplayer action games developed for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and future platforms”, the developer is looking for people experienced in UI, systems, graphics and gameplay scripting.

While Ruffian Games is best known for creating Crackdown 2, the company has worked on some intriguing projects recently. As part of the team behind the upcoming PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Ruffian has helped 343 Industries bring Halo Reach out of the constrictions of the last generation.
