Crackdown 3 has been delayed until 2018 due to bugs

Update: If you look at build Crackdown 3 developers are showing at Gamescom 2017, the game is broken and buggy. No wonder it was delayed until 2018.

According to a statement Polygon received from Microsoft, Crackdown 3 has been delayed until spring 2018. While many might be disappointed with this decision, the game looked unfinished when we saw it at E3 2017. Not only that, the frame rate wasn’t stable as well. You could even tell that it was barely keeping up 30 FPS. Hopefully this will get the company the much-needed time to polish their game.

“We’re very excited about Crackdown 3, and so are many fans, and so it’s a difficult call to move the release date,” Loftis said in an interview with Polygon. “However, we want to make sure to deliver the right game, with the right quality, and at the right time. Crackdown 3 is a hugely ambitious game and we want to ensure we deliver the right experiences all the way through every part of the game, whether that’s campaign, co-op multiplayer or our competitive multiplayer mode, Wrecking Zone. Getting the balance right between the three modes is important, and we are going to take the extra development time to ensure that. Gamers can expect Crackdown 3 in Spring of 2018.”

In Crackdown 3 it’s time to step up your boom and stop crime as a super-powered Agent in the game’s sandbox of mayhem and destruction. Explore the heights of a futuristic city, race through the streets in a transforming vehicle and use your powerful abilities to stop a ruthless criminal empire. Crackdown 3 delivers cooperative mayhem and an all-new multiplayer mode where destruction is your ultimate weapon powered by the Microsoft Cloud.
