Here is an interesting little titbit. It appears after the upgrade to the GDR2 version of Windows Phone 8 in India the option to use Google Search instead of Bing Search had disappeared in the browser settings.

One can of course still go to www.google.com but simple typing in the address bar will now always send you to Bing.

One wonders if the move is in retaliation for Google’s (anticipated) YouTube shenanigans, given that search seems to be the only area are Google cares about on Windows Phone, and the only app they have released so far for the OS.

Have the option to select Google disappeared from other handsets upgraded to GDR2 also? Let us know below.
