Microsoft is set to make some design changes in Cortana which will be available to the users starting Windows 10 19H1 Update. The new changes are currently visible to those on Fast Ring or Skip Ahead and are set to roll out to the public next year.
Following are the new changes which have been spotted so far in the latest Windows Insider build for Fast Ring and Skip Ahead Ring users:
- The tiles are now removed from Cortana and the suggestions are centred instead of being aligned to the left.
- Cortana now has a nice Acrylic effect on the top bar while searching.
- Microsoft is also testing a tweaked version of Cortana menu where the menu is automatically displayed when you hover the mouse on the left pane of the menu (currently in A/B Testing). The feature is similar to the one being tested by Microsoft for Start Menu a few months back.
The company might add more design tweaks in the future but for now, these are the ones being tested for Cortana. Users on Fast Ring and Skip Ahead Ring can try these out right now. For others, these features will be available in the Spring of 2019.
