Back in September, we reported that leaked Windows 10 builds had earlier versions of Cortana digital assistant in it. It is a simple app that includes features like Remind Me. Remind Me feature allows you to set reminders based on different data and it works similar to Windows Phone version of Cortana. You can set reminders when you are in contact with certain people, or when you arrive at certain place, etc,. Even though many of the features were not currently working in the leaked build, many references to upcoming features were spotted in the system files. Registry entries and system files related to Cortana Notebook feature was also spotted.
In the recently released Windows 10 Build 9879, when you open zpc Settings, under Privacy settings, you have an item called ‘Cortana and Speech’. This confirms that Windows 10 will definitely include Cortana Digital Assistant when released to the general public next year. This particular setting allows users to clear their local personalization data present on the device.
