Cortana on Android recieves an update for both Beta and Stable versions

Microsoft has rolled out a new update for Cortana on Android devices. The tech giant has pushed out the usual performance improvements and bug fixes for both versions of the app, bringing the stable version of the app to 2.9.12.2053, while the beta build is now at 2.9.12.12060.

This new update for Cortana is a minor one and so far no change log has been provided, which suggest that this is nothing more than a performance-based update, while the beta version maybe getting prepped for some new features.

The previous update for the Android-based Cortana brought with it an improved reminder widget, new tip cards and more. Cortana currently has more than 1 million downloads in Google’s Play Store, and coupled with iPhone and Windows 10 users is becoming a formidable foe for Amazon’s Alexa and other digital voice assistants.
