Apparently Windows Mobile 6.5 has not been very well received (not that I noticed, basking in the glow of the HTC HD2) but Gears from Coolsmartphone raises some good points about the lack of evolution of Windows Mobile’s consumer features.
I still love the OS however, and of course HTC’s layers, be they on Android or Windows Mobile, are pretty effective at papering over the cracks.
There is however no doubt Microsoft itself needs to streamline the consumer aspect of the software, but hopefully this is something which is already in place for Windows Mobile 7.
