The information, that comes from an Australian telco source, state that, just like the Telus and Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2, the version coming to Australia (that carrier at least) will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Of course it only makes sense that all HTC’s later devices have 3.5mm headphone jacks, but this will make European owners of existing devices likely feel pretty bad.
Apparently that Touch Pro 2 will have a major emphasis on location awareness, for example profiles which can be linked to GPS co-ordinates and/or cell tower ID. Some of these software features will also come to the Touch Diamond 2.
Our tipster also spoke of a updated version of the HTC Touch HD, but much faster (likely the Firestone?) that will feature a new version of TouchFLo3D.
Of particular interest is that HTC is apparently preparing to open up its Touchflo architecture to a select number of developers, allowing new tabs to be developed, with a development kit is already being seeded.
We can expect all these developments to come to fruition over the next 2 quarters, meaning we don’t have very long to wait to see how these rumours shake out.
