There were some tweets earlier about Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive being made available to other Non-Nokia Windows Phone 7 handsets.
A little bit more of the provenance of the news has now come to light. Nokia India had organized a media meet-up event in Bangalore where representatives gave a presentation on the upcoming Lumia Windows Phone handsets and also took questions from the press.
PCWorld.in has posted some of the more interesting titbits. Â This includes that Nokia Maps will indeed become available as a paid application in Marketplace. Â Nokia Drive will however not be included in the deal.
He also noted the launch date in India (around the 2nd week of December) and price (around USD 590/Rs. 31,000 approx.)
Nokia also spoke about a  “big” launch of the Nokia Music service planned for Windows Phone in 2012 which would be “huge” and would represent a “paradigm shift” but of course he may simply be talking about a delayed roll-out of the current Nokia Music service in India rather than anything new.
