Microsoft and Dropbox today announced their partnership to integrate each other services to enable collaboration across Dropbox and Microsoft Office on phones, tablets and the Web.
Dropbox and Microsoft users can now do the following:
•Access Dropbox from Office apps to get to their files and folders faster.
•Edit Office files directly from Dropbox and sync them across devices.
•Share new or edited files from the Office apps using simple Dropbox sharing functionality.
In addition to the above, Microsoft also announced that Dropbox will be releasing their official apps for Windows Phone and Windows tablet platforms in the coming months. Dropbox was one of the high profile apps which was absent in Windows Phone Store, and now it will be available in few months.
