Comscore reports monthly on the number of smartphones in use in USA, and in this month’s report, for the 3 months ending November 2014, it shows that the lack of a holiday flagship is having an impact in USA, with Windows Phone dropping from a 3.5% market share in August and also 3.5% in the 3 months ending October, to 3.4% in the 3 months ending November 2014.
That translates into 5.984 million Windows Phone users in USA, reversing a milestone the OS achieved in July 2014.
Hopefully vague rumours of a flagship handset soon will in fact be true, otherwise we may see further erosion over the next few months.
