imageIt seems the Nokia Lumia 900 boost is over in USA, as the latest Comscore numbers show the combined Windows Mobile + Windows Phone installed base has once again dipped in June after remaining at 4% for 2 months in a row.

With 110 million US subscribers owning smartphones, that  would represent 4.18 million users, down around 4.4 million users in May, suggesting Windows Mobile users continue choosing other platforms when the opportunity (such as the Galaxy S III) arise.

Hopefully the arrival of more specs-competitive handsets in fall this year running Windows Phone 8 will help correct this issue. We would also suggest if Microsoft has been sitting on some Windows Mobile to Windows Phone migration tools, now may be a good time to release them.
