It used to be that running Windows Phone was the best feature of a Windows Phone handset, and that the rest of the specs would invariably compare poorly with rival handsets.
As Clove’s new specs comparison video above demonstrates, with the latest Windows Phone flagships this is no longer the case, with the Nokia Lumia 1520 able to stand toe to toe with the best Android handsets such as the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Of course the situation is fluid, and the Galaxy S5 will be released in as little as 3 months, but in many ways it is being widely recognized that the specs race is now offering diminishing returns, and the focus is now on good, cheap handsets rather than who can fit in the most cores.
Windows Phone does have some catching up to do in terms of features offered, but even that situation is rapidly improving, if we think back 18 months ago when the OS could not even take screen shots.
