Chrome to Windows Phone 7 now available–syncs Chrome links to WP7

We wrote about a week ago about a free utility by Dave Ameta, Chrome to WP7,  which would allow one to sync browsed pages from desktop Chrome to your Windows Phone 7 phone.

The software is now available in marketplace, and with the desktop component, available on Dave’s website here, works exactly as promised.

The software pairs with the desktop browser extension using a pairing code generated on the Windows Phone.

Once this is done, to send a page to your phone, one simply need to click on the windows phone 7 icon on the desktop.

Pushed pages show up as toast notifications, and as a list on your device in the application, which can be tapped to launch in IE.

The app appears to work perfectly, but response to tapping on the links appear slow, and the software could do with the ability to send a list of app open tabs to the phone.

However as a free application with great performance one should not complain.

Great thanks to Dave Armeta for making the software available for free. You will find his other great application, GVNotifier for the desktop available here.
