Chris Jones, Corporate Vice President Of OneDrive & SharePoint Moving To New Take On A New Role Within Microsoft

Chris Jones, Corporate Vice President of OneDrive and SharePoint team is moving to a new role inside Microsoft. ZDNet today reported about this change that Chris will be transitioning to a new job in Microsoft’s Applications and Services Group (ASG) later this year.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed this change with the following statement,

“Chris Jones will be shifting to a new role on Qi (Lu)’s team in the coming months. As he makes that transition, Phil Smoot, a long time Microsoft veteran, will take over leadership of the OneDrive and Sharepoint teams.”

Phil Smoot who was working on Azure Storage team will be the new CVP of SharePoint and OneDrive team.
