The widely known (and usually loved) Chicks’n’Vixens has just been updated to version 1.0. For its users, that means the game has finally exited beta stage and entered the final paid version. No worries though, whoever already downloaded the beta (over 70,000 users) will recieve a free update to the final paid version. If you never played Chicks’n’Vixens, you can pick up the final version in the Marketplace for $0.99.
Chicks’n’Vixens is technically an Angry Birds clone, but since Rovio Mobile has still not ported their game to WP7, independent developer JabberWorx created his own version called Chicks’n’Vixens. His game includes unique visuals, a star rating system, a new level unlocking system, incredible music, and some satisfyingly challenging levels.
The new version 1.0 of Chicks’n’Vixens, which was just released today, March 24th, brings a number of new goodies to the playing field. The performance of the game has been improved and now runs at a smoother 30 frames per second, and more levels have been added. Also, a whole new collection of music was added to the game, increasing the size of the game to about 34 MB, compared to the previous 19 MB. The larger download size means you will have to use a WiFi connection to download the update, but the new music is highly worth the extra file size.
Some users may have noticed that beta version 0.9 of the game also was $0.99. That was a mistake in the submission process, and was meant to be free. But any one of the 70,000+ users who downloaded the betas before version 0.9 or 1.0 will receive a free update to the final 1.0 version today.
