Among the many apps and games announced from Microsoft Garage project, there was one Xbox One game called ‘Voice Commander’. Voice Commander is a “top-down space shooter meets tower defense, enhanced by voice,” says Stephane Morichere-Matte, senior program manager at Microsoft’s Foundry Intern Program in Vancouver, Canada. “Voice Commander” uses the power of Kinect and “your voice to build turrets, launch devastating attacks, while still getting to control your spaceship to destroy wave after wave of invaders.”
Not only that, but “Voice Commander” is “an awesome party game, too,” he says, where “having voice enables you to have an almost unlimited number of players participating in the game. You don’t need to have the controller in your hand to be able to participate. You can simply shout voice commands. In terms of controllers, it supports up to eight different players with a controller.”
Voice Commander, a Microsoft Garage project, is a fast paced, space themed, RTS and top-down shooter combo. Pick up a controller and work with Vox using voice commands to try to stop relentless attacks. Voice Commander can be played with up to eight controllers, and anyone in the room can issue voice commands.
