Microsoft has been a pioneer in workplace diversity and it was one of the first companies in the world to offer employee benefits to same-sex domestic partners and to include sexual orientation in its corporate nondiscrimination policy. They even have an employee resource group—Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Employees at Microsoft (GLEAM) which now has more than 2000 members. In fact, Microsoft has earned a 100 percent on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index and the designation as a Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality for nine years in a row! Recently, Pride parades was conducted in London and Seattle. Microsoft employees participated in it to show their support and Microsoft as an organization also supported it with lots of resources. Check out some of the photos below to see their parade activities.

Microsoft was well represented at both the Pride in London and Seattle Pride Parades in 2014!  In London, 120 employees, partners, family and friends marched in support. This group was accompanied by a 20 piece samba band and 3 world class bubbleologists. In Seattle, over 150 LGBTQ and straight allies participated in the celebration. They were on hand to march in the parade, hand out swag, and support for the Seattle Pride community. Seattle Mayor Ed Murray was also in attendance showing his support.
