Want to change default shared folder on Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA)? Well, we’ve got some good news for you.
Microsoft has released an update for WSA on Windows 11 that includes several improvements and fixes. The update (2306.40000.4.0) includes improvements to camera compatibility, the addition of local networking, and fixes for OneDrive folder issues.
One of the most highly-appreciated features is the ability to change default shared folder. Now, under the Advanced settings, the new Experimental feature “Share user folders” allows you to customize your default shared folder.
Additionally, we are witnessing several enhancements in local networking on all versions of Windows 11. These improvements include advanced settings that allow seamless connections to devices within the same network and support for VPNs.
There’s also expanded drag-and-drop support, PIP (picture-in-picture) mode enhancements for videos, Linux kernel update, Android 13 security updates, a fix for OneDrive folder issue that stops it from showing up in Android devices, stability fixes for Arm devices, partially running mode now enabled by default for devices with at least 16 GB of memory, and more.
You may remember in earlier this month, the Redmond-based tech giant rolled out the long-requested file sharing on Android with the previous update (2305.40000.4.0), so this little feature is a welcomed update.Â
What are your thoughts about WSA’s latest update and the feature to let you change default shared folder in Android? Let us know in the comments!
