myCentralJersey.com reports that the Hunterdon Chamber of Commerce has honoured North Hunterdon High School High School student Jason Mayer at the organization’s Annual Hunterdon County Business Awards Breakfast at Beaver Brook Country Club.for starting a high-tech businesses while still at school.
His company, Mayer App Solutions creates mobile phone apps for the Windows phone has has had nearly 1 million downloads so far.
Among the apps is the "Where’d I Park" app that will guide a user to where their vehicle is located in a parking lot.
He started his business a year ago and his apps have generated more than 32 million ad requests so far.
Mayer received the Amazing Kids in Business award.
Mayer was also valedictorian at Patuxent High School (above) two years ago. Hopefully his accomplishments will encourage other developers to explore the Windows Phone app store, where it is comparatively a lot easier to make your mark than on iOS and Android.
