The dates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s open beta have been revealed, along with the fact that the beta will initially be exclusive to PlayStation 4 players, but later parts will feature cross-play.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare isn’t set to launch until October, but players will get to participate in some multiplayer features in an open beta this September.
Early access to the beta starts on September 12th and runs until the 13th, but is exclusive to PlayStation 4 players. The open beta will then run from September 14th to the 16th and, once again, is still exclusive to PlayStation 4 only.
Thankfully, the open beta then opens up to everybody. Xbox One and PC players can finally get in on the early access action as of September 19th until the 20th. PlayStation 4 players will have access to the open beta during this time.
Then, finally, from the 21st until the 23rd, the open beta with cross-play functionality will open.
Players from all three platforms (that’s Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, if you weren’t paying attention) will have the opportunity to fight alongside each other and, well, fight each other.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release on October 25th, 2019. The game will have no season pass, with all post-launch maps being added to the game for free, and will feature cross-play on dedicated servers.
