There seems to be no stopping Call of Duty: WWII as the FPS has once again retained the top spot on the UK sales charts weeks after its initial release. Following Black Friday, some notable games fell a few spots and a couple of Bethesda titles jumped back onto the top 10 list.
Star Wars Battlefront II, which was in the second spot last week, actually dropped two places to number four this week. Considering it’s a newer release and that these numbers take into account physical sales from Black Friday, that’s a huge blow to the series which already saw a 60% decline in sales compared to its predecessor during launch week. Its controversial progression system and inclusion of microtransactions likely played a role in how well it sold. FIFA 18 and Gran Turismo: Sport beat out Battlefront II this week taking the number two and three spots, respectively.
Bethesda looks like it’s having a good week as both Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Fallout 4 made their way back into the top 10. Wolfenstein II jumped eleven spaces to number seven and Fallout 4 climbed an impressive fourteen places to number nine. Another title making its way back onto the charts, just above Wolfenstein II, is Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 7.
The top 10 UK games for the week ending November 25 are as follows:
- Call of Duty: WWII
- FIFA 18
- Gran Turismo: Sport
- Star Wars Battlefront II
- Assassin’s Creed Origins
- Forza Motorsport 7
- Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Fallout 4
- Need for Speed Payback
