Calculator² updated to version 1.15 and now available for Windows 8
Calculator² for Windows Phone has seen a number of updates over recent months as a result of porting the app to Windows 8. These have included a new Modern UI logo, a revised colour scheme and loading screen, various performance improvements and bug fixes, and other minor additions. The latest update adds another row of buttons (we call that innovation!) to the Scientific calculator to provide a better balance between ease of access to commonly used functions and large button sizes. The memory mode has also been redesigned to be consistent with the Windows 8 version.
The Windows 8 app is still at an early stage, so far featuring only the Basic and Scientific Calculators, but the Programmer Calculator, Currency Converter and Unit Converter will be added before general release. The app takes full advantage of the extra screen real estate of Windows 8 devices in addition to the side-by-side app functionality. Once this version is at the same level of the Windows Phone version there are plans to add new features such as RPN Calculators, a Graphical Calculator, support for complex numbers, and more. Feature requests are welcome, so let us know in the comments below.
