Buy ‘Elf’ for $4.99 from the Windows Store and get $5 in Microsoft credit

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? Microsoft wants you to be, and is offering deals left and right to make sure you enjoy this holiday season. On top of offering $50 off of select Xbox One S console bundles and a new Holiday Super Sale, Redmond is allowing consumers to buy Christmas comedy ‘Elf’ for $4.99 and get a free $5 in Microsoft credit. For those who already have Microsoft credit, you would essentially be getting the movie for free.

In the film, Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa’s elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn’t fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father, who turns out to be Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.
