British Airways use Nokia Lumia 800 to illustrate smartphone boarding passes

While the Nokia Lumia 800 did not gain huge market share in UK, due to Nokia’s persistent advertising campaign it must have developed some mind share, as British Airways have used the handset as an example of a generic smartphone to illustrate their electronic smartphone boarding pass system in an email sent to all their executive club members.

They also explain the features of their app- Mobile check in, flight information and even the ability to upgrade or purchase flights and direct consumers to download their iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or Windows Phone at

Hopefully due to the strong emphasis on design of both the OS and Nokia’s handsets we will see Windows Phone continue to benefit from free advertising, much like the iPhone has  over so many years.

Thanks Blair for the tip.
