Brighthand have published a 4 page review of the Samsung Intrepid, which is a $150 QWERTY Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional smartphone on Sprint. Their review appears to be pretty much the same as many ofthers of the device, except more detailed, and they find the device very much middle of the road. This applied to the design, sound quality, use experience and even the keyboard. They main feature they like appears to be the camera and the bundled Tellme service, which they find work very well.
The Samsung Intrepid fits into the "middle of the road" category of devices. It’s not bad, but it’s not great — and though it’s one of the first new devices with Windows Mobile 6.5, it really doesn’t offer anything that sets it apart from the rest of the mobile pack.
With its "me too" design and less than blazing performance, there isn’t a great deal to recommend it beyond the relatively attractive price, the good camera and the promising performance of TellMe. It’s worth a closer look if you already have your heart set on a Windows Mobile 6.5 device, but it probably won’t end up at the top of your list.
