Boxcryptor coming to Windows Phone soon

These days we all have tens of gigabytes of free cloud storage available to us, but the only way to use all this storage is to expose our private lives to Microsoft, Google or others, all with their own very strict terms and conditions.

Boxcryptor is a service which encrypts the content of your cloud storage, meaning you can securely access your information from anywhere, and no-one else, including boxcryptor, can do the same.

The service also has mobile apps, which allows users to access their data from smartphones or tablets.

At present they support iOS and Android, but the good news is that a reader has been able to confirm that the app is also coming to Windows Phone, and we will not have too long to wait.

I am wondering if you are going to support Windows Phone 8 and Windows RT?
Thank you,

Hi Dan,
we will support both platforms :). We are planning to release a version at the
end of this month.
Greetings from Germany

With the app coming to Windows Phone at the end of the month, and being free to non-commercial users, it seems like a good time to finally protect your cloud files.

See more on the service at Boxcryptor’s website here.

Thanks Dan for the tip.
