Mass Effect: Andromeda is less than a month away, and the team at Bioware is showing off as much of the game as possible before it launches. They’ve started a new series of gameplay videos last Friday with an entry that demonstrated and explained the game’s combat, and now they’re focusing on how you’ll be able to make your character yours. You can watch the video below.

One of the most interesting things shown off in the video was the profile system. Profiles can be switched between on the fly, and give you a variety of bonuses that suit your playstyle. For example, the Adept playstyle gives you a variety of bonuses to biotics and replaces your jump-jet with biotic-based evasion. You’re also able to advance to Adept rank 2 by investing your skill points in biotics. Simply put, it seems like a way to build your character around the way you play- it’s a nice touch.

Another system touched on was the favorites system. You’re able to use it to mix and match ability sets and quickly switch between them on the fly. The video contains a few examples of how you’ll use them in combat, and while it looks like it could be a bit more fluid, it seems to be a good idea overall.

Mass Effect: Andromeda looks great, and it’ll be out on March 21st. You can pre-order it by following one of the links below.
