Beyond Good and Evil 2 is the latest in a string of games long thought dead to get a revival of some sort. The game’s original vision was shown off over nine years ago, with development of that version falling apart and resulting in a fresh start in 2016. Ubisoft gave the world a first look at that fresh start at its annual E3 conference today with a brand new trailer.
This is our first look at it, and it’s radically different than what was first shown off back in 2008. You can check out the new trailer below, and click here to see the original version’s teaser.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a prequel to the original game, and takes place in System 3. Ubisoft mentioned that the game will have a seamless transition between singleplayer and multiplayer, which reminds us of another game we just heard about. No gameplay was shown.
No release window was given for Beyond Good and Evil 2, although we would expect to hear more about that at next year’s Ubisoft E3 conference.
