Further evidence suggests Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy may be coming to Xbox One soon

Update 4: The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy website recently gave the option to select the platform of choice. This is further evidence that it’s coming to Xbox One soon.

It looks like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a timed PlayStation 4 console exclusive. Best Buy Canada placed promotional materials at various stores and a gamer snapped the above picture at one of the locations. It clearly says that the game launches on June 30 and it a “1 Year Console Exclusive”. Well, what does that mean? Well, it could mean that the collection is coming to Xbox One and possibly other consoles after a year, or it’s coming to PC after a year. Or both. Beforehand, everyone thought it was going to be on PlayStation 4 until then end of time but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a collection of remasters of the first 3 games in the Crash Bandicoot series: Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back, and Warped, which all feature the title character traversing various levels in order to stop Dr. Neo Cortex. Like in the original games, Crash uses spinning and jumping techniques to defeat enemies, smash crates, and collect items such as Wumpa Fruits, extra lives, and protective Aku-Aku masks. The trilogy adds new features across all 3 games including unified checkpoints, pause menus and save systems, including both manual and automatic saving, and time trials, which were first introduced in Warped. It’s definitely the ultimate collection for the ultimate Crash Bandicoot fan.

Update 1: It appears that PlayStation Ireland confirmed that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was a timed PlayStation 4 exclusive many months ago. They clarified that it was only coming to the system first and then it would come to other devices. At the same time however, Best Buy Canada removed that banner and said that it contained inaccurate or outdated information. Hopefully we’ll know more at E3 2017.

Update 2: Some retailers are already taking preorders for the Xbox One version of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The release date is supposedly December 8, 2017. The most notable retailer has to be Base.com.

Update 3: The designer of the game shared videos which included Xbox One buttons. Does this mean an Xbox One or PC port is in the works? The Xbox One button video was quickly removed after it went viral.
