The Bank of Iceland is working on an app for their Windows Phone using customers.

To launch the beta of their app they invited members of the Windows Phone community to an event in their headquarters recently and shared their development plan, and also a few bottles of appropriately branded beer.

At the event they told attendees they were using cross-platform .Net framework Xamarin to develop this app, and that they were planning to use the same code base for the Android app when the Windows Phone app was complete.

The bank also said they hoped to add more Windows Phone apps in the future. We noted before that Windows Phone was unexpectedly popular in Iceland, and it is nice to see that support continue into the future.
