Ballmer Being Suppressed Towards WP7 Expectations… Which Is Good

Many people might know Microsoft as that cocky giant company that they have become, taking the initiative that because of their size, all their products will successed. Well Ballmer for once seems a little suppressed and under spoken towards the sales they are expecting for Windows Phone 7, and is a bit more understanding of the market he is going into. In a recent interview with financial analysts Ballmer had some quotes that might seem like a sign of disbelieve for his product, but I think is quite the opposite and shows that they are ready and are not simply laughing at the others while hiding the fact that their own product sucks.

“A number of you had a chance to kind of ask me a question … which is how are we going to do,” Ballmer told the analysts, at Microsoft’s Redmond, Wash. headquarters. “And I think it’s fair to say we’ve got a lot of work to do,” said Ballmer.

“It isn’t all going to happen overnight, and yet I think the opportunity to do interesting work, differentiated work, to build market share, it’s actually pretty good in the phone space right now,” said Ballmer.

The last quote tells me they are dedicated to keeping Windows Phone alive and kicking through the ages with OTA updates, and things that improve their users experience
