AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 confirmed delayed? Update: NOT!

Fake!

According to a tip we received from Aamer Khan the Nokia Lumia 900 for AT&T is indeed delayed.  The handset was expected to be released on the 18th of March, but of course has failed to show up.

According to what Aamer says is a Private Message on Facebook , Joe Belfiore said that there has been “some problems”, which, while not serious, means the handset will probably show up in April.

Of course we have no proof that the above exchange is indeed real, and it should be taken with a large grain of salt.

The Nokia Lumia 900 on AT&T will be one of only two LTE Windows Phone 7 handsets set to launch soon, and will represent Nokia’s real triumphant return to USA, with marketing at the level of the iPhone expected.

There are at present various rumours which point to an April 8th or 22nd launch date, so it is pretty safe to say no-one at present knows exactly when it will arrive.

Thanks Aamer for the tip.

Update:

Joe Belfiore has denied that the message above is indeed from his, saying:

While the Nokia Lumia 900 is arriving later than expected, the explanation shall remain a mystery.
