AT&T announces post 8107 Windows Phone update

It is difficult to say if an AT&T community manager can commit the giant company to any particular course of action, but at the very least Jamileh, AT&T community Manager, has revealed that the company has “plans for a Windows Phone update that will contain the improvements in the 8107 update and more.”

Speculation is that at present AT&T plans to wait till Tango is ready to roll out any software update to their Windows Phones, possibly implied by her “and more” statement.  Hopefully this will include all of AT&T’s Windows Phones, but this is of course far from confirmed.

A date for this presumed roll-out was also not revealed.

AT&T Windows Phone customers have been not had a software update since Mango itself, meaning they are at present suffering issues like the disappearing keyboard, security issues related to the SMS vulnerability and Exchange 2003 support problems, all of which Microsoft has released patches for months ago.
