Assassin’s Creed Origins’ Season Pass and post-launch content detailed

Assassin’s Creed Origins is arriving on consoles and PC in just under three weeks, and Game Director Ashraf Ismail has now detailed what players can expect from the title post-launch. In the video below, we get some more information about what is included in the Season Pass and what free content will be available to players after release.

As part of the Season Pass, two major story expansions are set to release next year. The first DLC, The Hidden Ones, takes place after the events of Origins as Bayek must take on Roman forces who have gained controlled of a new region. The Hidden Ones also increases the level cap and is slated for release in January 2018. The second DLC, The Curse of the Pharaohs, focuses heavily on Egyptian mythology and pits players against undead pharaohs and Egyptian monsters. The Curse of the Pharaohs is scheduled to release in March 2018. In addition, the Season Pass includes two packs of items and 500 Helix credits.

Turning towards the free content, players have a lot to look forward to. Announced earlier, Assassin’s Creed Origins is getting a Discovery Tour mode that turns the game into a combat-free museum for people to explore with educational guided tours. If you happen to enjoy the scenery, a built-in Photo Mode will be available at launch. Players can also experience new gameplay content with The Trial of the Gods, special timed events where you can take on towering Egyptian gods in boss battles and reap the rewards. If that doesn’t suit you, a traveling merchant can be tracked down for daily quests and rewards. And lastly, a Horde Mode will be added to the Gladiator Arena.

Players can experience ancient Egypt for themselves on October 27 when Assassin’s Creed Origins launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
