Apple Music now available on Amazon Echo devices

Announced last month and expected on the 17th December, you can now stream your Apple Music playlists directly on the Amazon Echo range of smart speakers.

With this support, Apple Music subscribers can enjoy 50 million songs on Echo devices. They can ask Alexa to play their favourite songs, artists, albums and playlists. They can also ask Alexa to stream radio stations like Beats 1. To enjoy this new integration, users have to just enable the Apple Music skill in the Alexa app and link their account to start listening.

The feature currently only works on Amazon’s first-party devices (so no Sonos speakers with Alexa yet) but hopefully this will change in the future.

To activate it associate your accounts in the Amazon Alexa app and you should be good to go.
