Apple is refreshing its iPad and Macbook Pro 16-inch with new Mini-LED display technology, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In a research note sourced by MacRumors, the analyst said that these new displays would “significantly improve productivity and the entertainment experience.”
Apple’s displays have held the distinction of being market-leading in many aspects, including brightness, refresh rates and the like. We’re interested in seeing what Apple will accomplish with its new displays that would “significantly” improve user productivity.
Apple has been flexing its display chops in its newest products, with the iPhones receiving new display technology on their latest iteration. The firm also launched the Pro Display XDR earlier this year to accompany its new Mac Pro.
“Pro Display XDR is the world’s best pro display and the perfect companion to the all-new Mac Pro. With Retina 6K resolution, gorgeous colour, extreme brightness and contrast ratio, and a highly functional design, Pro Display XDR delivers the most comprehensive set of features ever offered on any display at this price point,” Phil Schiller said.
Both refreshes are expected to land in the second half of 2020.
