App to fix Samsung Omnia 7 MMS network settings issue makes a case for jailbreak

Tobias at the NextBestGeek blog has created an app which has solves the MMS issues users of unlocked, non-carrier Windows Phone 7 devices have been experiencing.

The issue is that the Samsung Omnia 7 does not have auto-configuration settings for all networks, and the user can not enter the MMS settings directly either.  This left users who bought the device and tried to use it on some networks without MMS functionality.

Tobias created an app (which needs a developer unlocked device, either via the official developer unlock or ChevronWP7).

The app let’s you select the correct profile (APN, MMS, etc) for your network. In addition it allows you to enable "auto profile selection" even if this functionality is blocked by your provider. Auto selection requires just a restart.
