Angry birds and Windows Phone 7 Part Deux

AngryBirdsRovio have confirmed at the Le Web conference that they are working on a Windows Phone 7 version of Angry Birds, denying accusations that they had a tense relationship with Microsoft.

At Le Web CEO Mikael Hed said “We’re actively looking at WP7, we have a very good relationship with Microsoft.” Joking about the initial furore that resulted from Microsoft using the icon for their game at the launch of Market place, he said “They just announced our game for the platform a bit ahead of schedule.”

The company has had great success with the simplistic game, seeing more than 12 million paid downloads and 30 million ad-supported downloads, and are currently looking at a TV series, movies and plush toys.
