Apple is preparing to launch a new 16-inch MacBook this fall, and all the analyst predictions are coalescing into one date — September. Digitimes predicted a September launch, albeit with a later release sometime in October. Now we’re getting a slightly different look at what could happen.
The latest report comes from the analyst firm Trendforce, which has been looking at the overall sate pf the notebook market.
As per Trendforce (via MacRumors):
According to the 3Q outlook for notebook shipments, demand for Chromebooks remains strong thanks to the back-to-school period; at the same time, we see new products hitting shelves, such as Apple’s 16-inch MacBook, Dell’s products with 16:10 aspect ratio, Asus’s dual-screen laptop, as well as various gaming laptops in increasingly hot demand.
Apple’s new MacBook is likely going to be announced alongside its new iPhone 11 and iPad Pro line if the firm intends to hit the back-to-school season. If not, and Apple intends to actually get this device out by late September, it’ll be done via press release sometime early in September. Either way, an announcement can’t be far off with a launch date this close.
