Analyst: 23% of US phone buyers considering a Windows Phone

Analyst company Prosper Insights and Analytics has polled the buying intentions of US smartphone buyers who intend to buy a phone in the next 3 months (April, May and June).

The survey revealed 54.6% of users were considering buying an Android handset, 41.5% an iPhone and around 23% a Windows Phone.

As the graph shows, there has been a steady improvement in sentiment towards Windows Phone since the introduction of Windows Phone 8 in October 2012, and while we expect most buyers who consider Windows Phone will still go to other platforms, the momentum towards Windows Phone is pretty clear, and market share gains will likely also follow.
