alexa for pc

Amazon has published a significant update for their Alexa for PC app, taking it to version 3.0.595.

The update brings a cool new UI and support or drop-ins.

The UI update a now always-visible menu (vs the earlier hamburger menu), backgrounds and gradients.

The changelog notes:

Your PC is now capable of making and receiving Alexa Calls, Announcements and Drop Ins. You can add people to your Contact List on your Alexa app on your mobile phone. To change your communications preferences please go to the Settings page.

Alexa for PC came to Windows 10 in 2018, allowing users, for example, to control their smart home from anywhere without being close to a smart speaker.

The app can be found in the Store here.
