Amazon working on making Amazon Instant Video available on Windows Phone “in near future”

Amazon has quite a few apps available on Windows Phone, including a Kindle app and Amazon Mobile.  It seems we will soon be able to add a much in demand app to the list, with Amazon, apparently in response to user demand, saying they are working on an Amazon Instant Video app.

Amazon support writes:

Thanks for suggesting that we add Amazon Instant Video App for Windows Phone and Windows RT.

We are receiving so many requests from our customers to make the Amazon Instant Video app available on Windows Devices. Rest assured our development team is already working on this with Windows guys to make this app available in the near future.

Amazon is the second part of the Netflix/Amazon video streaming duopoly, and it would be great news for Windows Phone to also add that solution to the platform.
