Amazon today announced a series of updates to its Fire TV line of devices. Not everything was new hardware, most of its announcements were expansions of existing product lines. For instance, it’s Amazon Fire TV Edition lineup. The firm expanded its Fire TV Edition stable added two new devices to the line with the Nebula Soundbar and Toshiba 65-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV HDR (rolls off the tongue).
In terms of new hardware, Amazon has launched an all-new Fire TV Cube with more power. It is now “more than twice as powerful” than the first generation Fire TV Cube and allows for access to 4K UHD content. Alexa’s along for the ride as well, and Amazon’s added local voice control features for faster offline command processing.
The device can be pre-ordered today and ships from October 10 in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Germany, and on November 5 in Japan.
The firm has also committed to bringing the Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K and Alexa Voice remote to France, Italy, and Spain from today. Users in these countries will be able to purchase them from today onwards.
