Amazon has now delivered a minor update to its Kindle app in Windows Phone Store. This new v184.108.40.206 fixes bugs such as stuck on loading screen and crash on app start. Interestingly, Amazon provided the same change log for the last update as well.

Amazon is not keen on updating their apps on Windows Phone platform as they do on iOS and Android devices. For example, on the day of iOS 8 release, Amazon released an updated Kindle app for iOS devices to support latest iOS 8 features. I don’t remember the last time when Amazon updated their app on Windows platform with new features. As Windows Phone platform continues to grow, I hope Amazon’s policy towards updating Windows Phone apps changes over time.
