‘Alexa, Wake me up before you go-go’

First Amazon made a bed-side clock, the Echo Spot, and now they turned it into a clock radio.

Amazon’s Echo range has just received the ability to wake you up to music from Amazon’s own service or other connected services like Spotify.

Obviously ideal for their Spot device, the feature also works with their other connected speakers.

To set a music alarm, say  “Alexa, wake me up at…”, “wake me up to…,” or “set an alarm”

The feature will work with a genre or type of music such as relaxing music, artist, specific title or even song lyric.

In a press release, Amazon said it was a top-requested feature and should make bringing an Echo to your bedroom much more attractive.

Amazon is currently discounting their Echo devices, including the Echo Show, Echo Plus, new Echo, and Echo Dot, for the holidays. The range can be seen here.
